Imha Is My Dog In Pain How Can We Ease Pain From A Dog Who Has Cancer?

How can we ease pain from a dog who has cancer? - imha is my dog in pain

My friend and I were housesitting for the last 2 weeks of her mother, who is in Europe. A week and a half, we realized that it does not eat, and thought he might be depressed. After several days of eating and drinking just a ton of water, we think that something is wrong, and took her to a vet. $ 900 later, we learned that "probably" a cancer of the spleen, liver, kidney and a mass in the abdomen. I say probably because ultrasound shows you what kind of nodes that are available, as they appear, are suspicious of cancer. They wanted $ 400 more for the biopsy. She is 11 and weakly with IMHA and need a blood transfusion. Doc does not think it will succeed. She will not eat, nor drink now, and hardly any water out. It's hoWever very active in the promotion of the night while we sleep and I do not know why.

The family is a mess, and in trying to help in any way. What advice would you give to relieve "pain Lella? I know, put it next to sleep, but we are so torn up on him because his mother is out of the country is a difficult time letting go without saying goodbye .... It was so difficult. I want something to help her poor dog in the meantime and that he and his mother is not thinking clearly.

Any help would be very grateful.

Thanks

Ask your friend to call his mother and ask her now "is what you really want to continue the pain Lella, to stop until you return home?

It would be selfish to do so. Recently, my friend had to put down 14 years (Siberian Husky). To stay My only regret is that it enables the pain of two or three days longer than it should have been.

If the vet says that the treatment prolong life and to contribute to greater comfort, it can worth a try. I doubt that the vet now give hope.

Ask your veterinarian for preset is to relieve pain dog. There narcotic tramadol medication that can help, but not as strong as a narcotic, like Vicodin, which can be used in dogs with cancer, with a NSAID, such as Deramaxx for best results to control pain.

Edit: I see that this is not eating. This a bad sign. I think it is time to let your go.Tell his mother that you and your friend stay with Lella during euthanasia with the dog and let them talk on the phone and adopt, as provided by the veterinarian for injection. The knowledge of the dog hears his voice, as he called it DS can help fight, but suffers Lella and not just for them.
